    D = rt question help?
    Two cars started at the same time, traveling towards each other, from places 200 km apart. If they meet each other at the end of 3 1/3 hours, and if the speed of one is 10 km/hr is greater than that of the other, determine each car's speed.

    We won't just do your homework for you, but here's a hint to get you staretd:

    As you already know, D =rt. The distance is 200 Km. and the time is 3-1/3 hours. So from that you can find r, which is the sum of the speeds of the two cars. If one car is traveling at X Km/Hr, that means the other is traveling at X+10 Km/Hr. The sum of these is r, so now you can solve for X.
