I am currently on probation for the next four years, I was imprisoned of a possession or an illegal firearm with kidnappiing with intent to terrorize when I liveed in Florida, in 2004 in which I took a plea bargin for not knowing my whole sentence was Illegal to begin with. But I would like to know if I will have a problem gaining entry to the Dominican Republic? As far a visa and passports are concerned?

You can always get a passport, that is merely a government ID, I do not believe you can get a visa to enter the nation with the criminal history. Also will your PO give permission for the trip ?

And the sentence is not illegal, it was done in court, if you had proof it was illegal you could get it over turned
