I have an old 3-speed Craftmade ceiling fan (no light) that was working fine until the chain pulled out of the switch. I replaced the switch with one from Home Depot and wired it the same way.

L - Black (power)
1 - Brown (connected to reverse switch and capacitor)
2 - Gray (from capacitor)
3 - Purple (from capacitor)

I get the following sequence (High, Low, Low, Off). I have switched the brown, gray, and purple wires in various combinations and get (Low, High, Low, Off) and (Low, Low, High, Off). I can't seem to get Medium from any combination. Any ideas?
