    Smear test and vaginal suppository-spotting?
I went to my gynecologist appointment for the annual smear test. I bled when she took the sample and according to her it was a bit too much. She said the test would show if there's any problem. She put a vaginal suppository in at the end and gave me a prescription for it. The thing is, I'm still spotting since. It's almost nothing, but whenever I wipe myself there's a bit of brown discharge, but it's strange, like little brown dots on the paper if that makes any sense. I'm thinking it's just the suppository ( never used one before in my life!) but is it normal that I'm still getting this the next day?

Since it is brown blood it is old blood and yes, it is normal to have some bleeding/spotting at times after an exam. Did she say what the suppository was for?

She said that since I bled that much she would put the suppository because she thought the cervix was irritated. It wasn't antibiotics or anything, it was a herbal suppository, camomile I think.
