I got my wisdom teeth pulled 5 days ago.. is it okay for me to drink from a straw now?

Things like sucking a straw as well as smoking should be avoided after the wisdom tooth removal. If you really need to suck a straw within the first week after a surgery wait at least 24 to 48hrs.
