    Goodman furnace won't kick on...
Outdoor temperature under 30degrees our furnace will not kick on. However when "steam" from boiling water or running hot shower fill the furnace area it will kick on. Run until house gets to temp set on thermostat. What could be causing this... Asked few techs' one said a seņor another thermostat. One company says never heard of such a thing. The guys that installed unit pretty much have been useless... have been relying electric space heaters.

Any input would be much appreciated!
    Thank you

Start by jumping the R and W in the low voltage thermostat circuit. Remove wires and jump at the furnace. If the furnace starts and runs then the problem is in the low voltage thermostat or thermostat wiring. If it does not start and run then you will need to have a closer look at the furnace itself along with all the standard voltage wiring. Good luck since some of these strange problems are really difficult to repair.
