i had brown spotting at first and then i had light blood that would come on and go and it would stop for hours, it was like that for a day and next day it had stopped in the afternoon and came back the next day at midday. and then it stopped. i usually have a 6 day period but this time i had it 2 weeks early.its usually heavy also.
could it have been implantation bleeding?

It could be, but it doesn't really sound like implantation to me.

Implantation bleeding doesn't happen often, but if it does it tends to be light pink spotting that doesn't last long.
