Starting from scratch, you will need a 50 amp breaker, #8 wire with 4 conductors( BLACK,RED, WHITE, GREEN) and a 50 amp 4 prong stove receptacle. Miscellaneous fittings, clamps, and straps. If using an older stove your cord will have 3 prongs and technically should be up graded to the newer4 prong arrangement.

Need to be careful here with #8 wire on a 50 amp breaker. If the #8 wire is THHN and pulled through a conduit, or is MC cable, then 50 Amp is fine.

Most cable used in homes is Romex, NM-B cable, and #8 wire Romex is only rated 40 Amps.
