    220 volt circuit
I have seen this question before, but not a definite answer.

I want to know if I can use one leg of 2 - 20 amp tandem breakers for a 220 volt circuit. I know I can not use just 1 tandem breaker as this would be on the same leg of the panel. But 2 tandems side by side would put them on different legs. Would this work?

    Thanks
    Scott

No, the breakers need to be tied together. There are 240v tandem or slime line breakers.

OK, you got me Don. How about "skinny" breakers.
