If you don't have insurance you can always go to a free clinic or planned parenthood. Bleeding for three months straight isn't normal. Would you rather be out a few hundred bucks or dead? Your decision.
I understand this. Planned parenthood just done a pap smear and sent me to another doctor who wanted $150 up front. I don't have this and on my income will take me another 3 months to save up. I considered going to the hospital but that's just going to be another bill each month and I already can't pay what I have. The economy got me, and I work part time at mim wage. And in the small town I'm in its hard to find another job. I know this isn't normal. But I feel stuck.
Go to a doctor, tell them your situation. MOST doctors will let you set up a payment plan. I've never heard of a doctor wanting the payment up front.
Umm, your husband is in the military and you don't have medical coverage?
If you're not already, you could become anemic after bleeding for so long. No matter what, find a doctor - even if that means another bill. Once the bill comes, you can always request a payment plan.
It may seem hard to get the money now, but in the long run $150 will seem like change in your pocket compared to the value of your health.
