    Verbal lease in virginia
I had a verble agreement with the my landlord. She broke up with her partner and has now given me notice to move. She wrote me stating that
Even though we had an agreement that it was not legal. Is she correct?

It depends on the terms of the agreement. If it's verbal, then it's typically considered a "month to month" occupancy, and the landlord can give a 30 day notice at any time.
