I just got a 4 year old saint bernard and he will not eat dog food and will only eat table food, how do I change his diet to dog food?

Stop feeding him human food and only offer dog food.

Dogs won't starve themseles.. He'll eat when he gets hungry.

I agree with this. It's not like he is going to hit a drive through, or go to the grocery. Get him some good dry dog food, and put it out. No more people food. Be consistent.

It may help him if you get some wet food and mix it with his dry dog food, like Lucky said a dog won't starve himself (Unless he is sick) so he will eat it. DO NOT offer him people food because you feel bad, it will only add to the problem.

Yup it's true, just stop the human food. He may go a day, even two with out eating much or even eating at all, but he will not starve himself.

Just buy a good quality food and place it on the floor for him. He will eat it eventually.

If you had the choice of eating nothing but chocolate bars and potato chips all day as opposed to spinach and broccoli, what would you prefer?
