    2000 S10 Blazer ac
2000 S10 Blazer, 135,000 miles. AC problem. Low side reads 45. Shows equalization after it sits. Pressure rises to 100 on low side. Compressor comes on, clutch pulls in. That part seems good. Have added freon, then stop leak, a little oil. Released some of the pressure on the low side after overcharging. Through it all, the ac doesn't drip. Checked drain hole - OK, air flow good, some coooling. Some temp difference on the accumulator and line, not much, doesn't sweat. Suggested by mechanic an evacuate and charge just to get to a get starting point for evaluation. I have also considered replacing the orifice tube and accumulator. Orifice because of the stop leak and the accumulator because the truck is old and I used to hear a strange noise like a shrill hiss, after turning off the car, told is was just the equalization, but the car didn't always do that and I have never heard another that did. Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

Basically, every 100,000 miles the compressor, orifice tube, and accumulator should be replaced. That's the reality of the beast.

Stay away from stop leak products.
