Emerson remote control may not be totally working- can't get to HIGH speed
Emerson fan with remote control.
Remote turns on fan and lights. Motor speed can be slow or medium, but I can't differentiate between medium and high (it's definitely not high). So I took it down and rigged it up on my work bench to see if I can figure something out. I ended up bypassing the remote and connecting power and the motor turned on (needed to connect the lightbay in order to get the motor to spin).
Anyway, this didn't do anything for me, so I connected the remote back up and could definitely distinguish between slow and medium. Then I decided to connect a multi-meter to see if I could distinguish between slow and medium with current or voltage.
When I measured the output of the remote (input to the motor- motor L across motor N) I got about 50V on slow; ~130V on medium and a little bit less (~125V) on HIGH. Does this make sense? Should there be 3 distinct voltage measurements?
