I have a saw model # 917,351,482 baby blue of all things but runs exception.
Need cover plate to cover air filter. Serial number 0026573 17 inch bar. Fuel cap says mix with sae 30 motor oil. Just curious if 2cycle could be harmful to the saw. And one last question it has a funky looking chain on it never seen anything like it before any idea how old the saw is? Still new in the case maby I should leave it alone.. any ideas? Thanks...

Does it say sae 30 or does it say 30 to 1 fuel mixture ratio.
Appears to be a Sears saw. Never saw a baby blue one. Go to sears.com, click on parts direct, enter model number.

    Hi,
You have an old Roper saw and only the only parts will be used or from an obsolete parts dealer.
    Peace,

Sears shows that model number as a chain saw. Does this look like what you have.

The old saws ,back then they used sae 30 ,but because they didn't have mix oil then, and 2 cycle mix would be fine probably 16 to 1.
    LUCK
