    flotec pressure tanks
I have a 82 gal tank and my pump cycles between 36/58 every time the water is turned on. I checked PSI on top of tank no reading and I tried put air in still no reading. Water line seems to be near top of tank no water leaks out of top value when depressed. Does this sound like a bad bladder ?

jharv, I'd check to see how many gallons I'm getting between cycles. Let your pump get up to 58 and cutoff. Use a five gallon bucket to see how many gallons you get from an outdoor faucet before the pressure gets down to 36. You should get, with the size tank you have, 10 to 15 gallons. I'm going to guess you get much less than that. It might be that your bladder is ruptured, but there is still some air at the top of the tank. If there is air in the tank, then you can be sure you have pressure. MIght be a defective air valve which is not allowing you to get a reading.
