My bathroom sink has been leaking. However, at this point it only seems to be leaking when the water reaches the overflow hole.. I had someone snake it out and replace the stopper, etc. and snake out the drain. It seemed to be quite clogged but now the water is running quite well and doesn't reach the overflow unless we fill it up... As soon as I fill it up and it reaches the overflow, it leaks immediately. I can see that the leak is coming the under the sink on the left side of the seam. None of the pipes seem to be leaking. What could this mean?

Sounds like the seam has opened up a bit allowing water to leak out when you over fill the bowl. There are several things you can do;
1) Epoxy the seam **OR**
2) Simply do not overfill the bowl. Good luck, Tom

Tom is probably right, but I wanted to ask you if there is a chance that you have a corian countertop and/or sink? If so, it is possible that the overflow connection itself is leaking... see image.

Does the underside of your sink have the hose running from the drain to the overflow? Let us know... OK?

Thank you for your answer. Also thank you Tom for your answer. I did epoxy the thing I think is a seam and it is still leaking when it goes to overflow. I do not have a corian counter and sink and the hose does not run from the drain to the overflow. I have also wondered if there is a crack in the sink itself... Thank you again for your help. This is very puzzling.

I do have a CORIAN sink and the hose from the overflow drain is no longer attached to the sink. There appears to be a piece of "rubber" that was once between the overflow drain "catch" device that screws into a hose that has come apart. Do I need to buy a new piece (what is it called?) and what is the best way to reattach to the sink overflow drain?

I think that you will have to send a picture. There are many kinds of connections.
