Does she have any living CHILDREN, not grandchildren?

The fact that there is no Will does not mean that you are entitled to the house.

Her house (including the estate) will be distributed according to State Law - that usually means to the CHILDREN, not the Grandchildren.

The fact there is no will is not good for you. If she had wanted you to have the home she needed to will it to you.

And no paying the taxes does not give you any right to the home.

The estate will need to go though probate court where the property will be given to the proper heir. Any of your grandparents children would normally be first, and if there are several children they may own the house equally.
