I'm pretty sure I have a sticking solenoid on my MTD lawn tractor. The starter will not disengage when the key is off and removed. I plan on replacing the solenoid but I can't find the thing and the owner's manual is no help. Does anyone have an idea where it would be located?

Most often it near the battery at the rear. Often under a plate between the seat and steering column.
