    Dog urine
I fortunately don't need this tip anymore, but I thought I would share in case no one has heard of it.

If your dog urinates on the carpet, don't rub or push into the carpet.
Cover the wet urine with shaving cream, it will draw it all out of the carpet. When it is dry and yellow, just vacuum it up.

My carpet cleaning guy told me that yesterday and I had never heard of it or had already forgotten it.

This is definitely the yuck factor for me, the yellow part. I personally could not wait and leave it there until it 'turns yellow'. (It brings to mind the expression 'dont eat the yellow snow!) But it actually sounds like a good idea. If one of our experts here could determine what the magic ingredient is in the shaving cream that makes it work. Any takers for this challenge !

Thank you Dahlia!! I have never heard of this either but will certainly give it a try!
Prada's incontinence is as bad as ever at the moment so there are lots of accidents at our place. Thankfully most of our house is floorboards and only the bedrooms are carpeted but still... accidents happen.

I'll check with Gary this afternoon and see what he has to say about why it works.:)
