    Antiquated Oven Problem
My oven is original to the home, the home was build in the early fifties. The only information I can find on the unit is that it is a Westinghouse Model OH, Style Q53350, the oven has stopped heating. I have pulled it out, check the element by wiring it directly to a 110 outlet, it heated nicely. I can find no information, including it's existences, on the oven from any sites I have tried thus far. I am trying to find out what other problem could exist and how to test for such problems. Any help greatly appreciated.

I have the identical oven and will be getting rid of it as we are remodeling the kitchen and there is not enough space to have that oven and another one that we are planning on using much more (convection). You are welcome to ours to use it for spare parts (or put it in to replace yours). The only problem is that the heating element (bottom) just retired a few days ago (after about 60 years of use, it served us well and this is the first time the element needed replacing to our knowledge). The oven worked well up until the element broke.

If you are interested in our oven (free to a good home), just let me know.

If this oven has two elements (lower bake and upper broil) and neither will heat the problem is probably related to the thermostat element. If one element will heat but the other will not, the problem is probably in the control knob. Suggest a PM to parrin for parts.
