Can someone become engineer if they've had drug felonies years ago
What would the chances of my fiancé getting a job as a marine/ocean engineer (after schooling) with past felonies and a class A misdemeanor battery conviction (class 2 drug felony and a class A misdemeanor battery) be since they were from 1990 to 2002? He WANTS to go back to school and get a better job, but at the same time thinks there is absolutely no hope for him. I've done a lot of research on my own and our state has restored his civil rights (sans firearms) and sealing/expunging would be a definite. However, IL looks like it could be the damper. We're looking for some answers.

    Hello pc:

Unlike the other professions, engineering DOESN'T require a license. That ain't bad.
