So me and my my best friend daniel decided to date over the summer time. I must say that probably not the best idea ever. We both played basketball and were really busy. We texted and talked as much as we can, but it wasn't the same because we never saw each other. Then one day he tells me that it's better that we just friends because it was hard. I totally understand that but, now that school started back up it seems like he try's to dodge me. We could walk past each other and he'll act like he doesn't see me. What kind of friend does that. I don't know if I should talk to him about it or just not be friends anymore.

I think you should talk to him, since you both decided the relationship wasn't a good ideal. From a personal note I married my best friend it's great until we disagree now I have no one to to vent to or a shouder to cry on sometimes I miss my platonic best friend. Just tell him how it's important to keep the friendship

Before we give advice we always need to know if the people posting are not young teenagers. We do not want to give them the wrong advice.

Talk to him.
Communication usually will settle things like this.

Don't lose a friend because of speculation.
If he feels differently it is better to find out sooner than later.

If he isn't man enough to talk to you and be honest ,you may be better off without friends like that.

Always keep communicating , it solves many problems before they happen.
