    Lowe's have classes on that kind of stuff. Call and ask them when they will have a workshop on that, its free

    Start with thinking about what you want. Look at what is available and how far you want to go to make the current space fit the new shower. I am not sure you can remove old tile without taking the dry wall too. Might post a question under home construction about that.

    If you do have to remove the drywall, that would expose the plumbing allowing you to replace the faucet.

    As Labman has said, What type of shower stall do you want? Custom tile?
    Manufactured base and enclosure? What type are you replacing? I can help you with the plumbing but if you have a construction question you will have to look in "construction" or "Interior Home Improvement". Regards, Tom
