When should I fertilize my Sorbaria sorbifolia
My sorbaria sorbfolia (false spiraea) will not bloom. Maybe I need to fertilize it. Does anyone know what I should use and when I should do it?

I can't offer you any information on this plant. My spirea always bloom. But if you Google the name, there are multiple sites to help you. I could have picked one for you but to me they were all the same.

I think you will have to read through until you find one that is correct. Fertilizing any shrub is not rocket science, judsigarden. I have my own method which may not suit you, but if I have a problem I visit my garden centre for proper information. If in doubt always ask where you bought the plant.

I fertilize in the late spring when all frost has gone. I don't know where you are located but I am in a northern climate.

Thnak you. I'm in northern Jersey. I will try your method. If it works for you, it may work for me!

I didn't even notice that she was in Canada. But I think I'll try the same thing with a fertilizer that is higher in phosphate to promote flowering. Maybe a 10-50-10 or so.
