    Weird out of sync startup?
    Hi
I have a Carrier outside unit-almost 7yrs old-and an inside unit, up above the shower in the ceiling and it's a 1st?? not sure of all the name, if needed let me know and I will try to dig out the info-hard to get to right now. It's the kind with 2 squirrel cages.

I have new thermostat installed in the last 6 months, the reg turn the wheel type. Love these and it clicks when it "kicks" in.

I am in dallas area and its super hot here. The a/c has been working its butt off and doing its job. But the last week I have been hearing something different. We keep the outside unit free of any debris/grass.

The a/c will run until it reaches the temp I have set (finally-so hot). Then almost immediately-w/in 30-40 secs. I will hear the outside unit cut on by itself, then slowly a few secs. Later I hear the inside unit start up kindof slowly or appears to be, and finally seconds later the air finally comes out of the vents. I of course go adjust the thermostat to make it cut off. It does and will start up like reg. when the next cycle starts up. Its like you are hearing all "parts" of the a/c system start up in slow motion. And the thermostat does not click like normal first. Usually, of course, I hear the click, and all start up basically together and air comes immediately out of the vents.

What's up with this system? Please explain and any fixes (easy I hope) for this. Thanks for your help.
