Why has my dog started pooping in the house
I have a 4yr old english mastiff. He is a great dog.. but for some reason when I take him out he refuses to poop where he has always gone he will pee or poop in the street next to the grass area he usually goes in.. and he has started going in the house off and on. He also acts a little strange sometimes.. he has wobblers but he is doing well with that.. but he has started licking the furniture and he will just stare at you for long periods!? I haven't changed anything.. diet, home, nothing... I am very worried about him... he was the runt of the litter and I didn't know if that could effect anything later in life or not..

Sometimes a change in the potty behavior can be related to anxiety.

Licking furniture is a sign of anxiety.

Staring can go either way. He can be challangeing you, or he could be having a "silent" anxiety attack.

You should have him checked out by a vet. Since he has an illness, any type of medication needs to be OK with his illness.

There are medications out for anxiety.. If you want to stay natural, you can always purchase Rescue Remedy. It is typically sold in health food stores. It might help him take a deep breath.
