Im 21 and just finishing a degree in social work but its not a career I want to go into straight away. I want to start my own small business but I'm not sure how or what in, in fact I have no idea where to start from! Anyone got any ideas?

Sure. Find something you LIKE to do, and make a business out of it. Toys? Collect 'em and sell 'em. Cars? Fix 'em, sell 'em or dozens of other things.

Put an ad on Ebay.

Make a long list of all the things that you like, enjoy or that you are good at.

Then take each item and break it down to at least three things that apply under that title.

When you finish you may find at least several things that you never thought of before.

Be as detailed as you can, write down everything you think of no matter how minute. Take several days to complete it and go back and add things as you think of them.

Do you already have the equipment that you need to do the things that you've already listed? Also, do you want to be operating a business primarily out of your home or have some kind of storefront, please?

I have a number of small businesses that I run. I get calls and/or email inquiries about them from potential customers, just about every day.

I want to work my business from home so that I can continue my studies as well. I still need to get supiles and equipment but I've done some research to find the cheapest products.
