Before school ended me and this girl were starting to get pretty close. She called me her best friend, talked to me, asked me questions to get to know me, and sometimes asked me for advice and to one time open her locker which I did successfully. And I would ask her questions to get to know her. Anyway after school ended the next day, I chatted to her on Face Book and we talked for at least an hour just about what was going in the world. Then from there we were talking everyday for at least 1 to 2 hours a night. I eventually got her phone number and we were texting each other left and right. We never talked about going out or anything, but I was really started falling in love with her. We stopped texting each other for a week or so because she got a new phone, so I could not text her anymore. I still talked her on Face Book a little bit. I tried to call her and she did not pick up and I left a voice mail. Then, her cousin who is a close friend to me told her I loved her and he asked her if she had feelings for me and replied no. I was really devastated when I heard this because I really liked this girl and I thought she may have liked me. Now, I am stumped and do not know what to do and I am probably going to see at an upcoming festival. I want to stay close to her and maybe she might change her mind. Do I still have a shot at going out with her?

Well to me it sounds as if she might have been interested in you (notice I just said interested not in love) and maybe she was also talking to other guys or met someone else that she likes best and so she stopped communicating with you.

If you do see her at the festival... do not ignore her, talk to her... ask her how she's been doing... long time no hear or see ad blah blah blah. Do not attempt at calling her to say oh it was great seeing you. If she calls u herself after she sees you well maybe you got a shot... if she doesn't... she's not into you and move on

We usually try to find the age of anyone posting in forums. A lot of teens come here and we don't want to give them the wrong information or imformation that is not right for their age.

All you can do now is ask her out and see what happens, but I think you're done. Next time, be more aggressive upfront with dating the women you are interested in. Anytime a woman refers to you as a "friend" odds are very high you're just another one of her gal pals and she has absolutely no romantic interest in you whatsoever. Also, if your friend/her cousin acted on his own accord, beat some sense into him. Otherwise, don't be sending your friends in as advance scouts to feel her out. Not cool and just makes you look insecure.

Haha thanks. My friend took it upon himself to tell her basically everything and it really pissed me off because I just wanted to tell someone to let my feelings and obviously it came back to bite me in the but. But about asking her out, she will probably say no because she seems to have lost her interest in me should I really ask her out?

Well, if you don't ask you've given up without even trying. That strategy will not get you very far in anything. Plus, she is "unresolved" and you may always wonder what-if? Ask her out, get rejected, get your closure, and move on. Or maybe, just maybe, get a date and have your problems just beginning... ;)

Sounds like the girl does not like you as much as you like her.
If you see her you can speak but other than that leave it alone.
If she is not into you, there is really nothing you can do.

Ok well as you can see I really love this girl and I want to spend the rest of my high school years and beyond with her because she is the greatest girl I have ever got to know. Well anyway I was hoping to ask her to the park one of these days and just tell her what I am feeling and tell her how great of a person she is. I got her a nice gift that I am going to give her. Then, I was thinking about getting on my knee and asking her out because I love her. Do you guys think it will work?

This should be with your other thread as it's related to your other question.

We don't know if it will work, only she knows what's in her heart and only she knows whether she wants to go out with you.

All you can do is ask her, the rest is up to her and only her.

Seeing as she told the cousin that she didn't have feelings for you maybe the getting on one knee is a bad idea. It may scare her into thinking your asking her to marry you.

Ask her to the park as a friend would. While at the park ask her how she feels about you. Don't tell her you love her. That is only going to freak her out. Tell her that you have feelings for her and listen to her. If she says she just wants to be friends then you will have to accept that.
