What is the rating of the breaker box, spaces left? How far from the breaker box will the welder be. Tell us more.
Hi The rating of the box is 200 volts max. and the main breaker has 200 amps on it. Also the box has 10 open spaces.
Thanks
Ed
Yes, the breaker box is about 12ft
Away from welder
I hope you mean 240V @ 200 Amps. Yes? Otherwise you can't use it. If it is 240V, you need 2 hots@120V each and a ground. Straight 240 doesn't require a neutral. One hot lead per breaker and then the ground. You may have a little trouble getting a#6 under the breaker lug. Put the female in a box, mount it to a wall stud and plug in the welder.
Yes 240 volts @200amps
So now what is the question? NEMA 6-50R, female in wall outlet, welder should have plug end. If not get a 6-50R male.
No more questions. Thank you so much for your help.Your help is greatly appreciated.
If I don't fry myself I'll let you know. Have a good day.
