    Irregular digestive system
So it's been a while since I've been regular. I usually go to the restroom about once every other day, sometimes less. I've tried laxatives, which only make me cramp up EXTREMELY bad the following morning, stool softeners, which I NEVER see the results of because i can't go, and nothing works. I recently started eating FiberOne bars because my mom said that I needed to increase my fiber intake. Yeah it worked for the first couple of days. More so than I thought it would. But afterwards it went back to more input than output. It causes me to wake up feeling nauseated and have cramps on the left side of my belly and an aching lower back. Sometimes I won't eat breakfast or lunch because I know that everything is all backed up down there and there's nowhere else to put anymore food. I've been to my pharmacist and nothing he recommends ever works either. It all makes me cramp up really bad.
    What should I do?

You are right, you don't want to create a blockage, but normally we don't have to eliminate every day, although most of us think that we do and become upset when we don't. Stress causes constipation. I don't think you have constipation though. Once every other day is quite normal, or should be.

You could try probiotic yogurt; I can't take it because it gives me the runs but my digestive system is a bit different I have found over the years. Probiotics doesn't suit everyone.

To be regular you have to eat regular and you should have your fibre at the start of every day. I would suggest adding bran buds to your cereal, or a probiotic yogurt and fruit such as blueberries. Fruit is a wonderful way of keeping us regular to the bathroom.

Have regular meals, fibre in the morning and as I suggested above and see if that works for you. Visit a health food store and explore natural detox methods. Once you have a good clean out, then you can start on a regular meal regime to keep everything regular.

Yes fruit is definitely a good way to help stay regular and have a healthy digestive function and a good remedy is to have a large glass of warm water and half a lemon squeezed into it upon rising every day. This cleanses the liver and bowel and promotes elimination. Prune juice also gets things moving for most people. There are different causes for constipation or sluggish bowel but try the advice given.
