I am looking for a painting with a st. benard dog lying down on a carpet with a little girl I think curled up in front of him. This painting was on my grandparents wall when I was a child. It would be a lease 50 -60 years old maybe older.

Your description may be of an actual oil painting (which might be like finding a very tiny needle in a huge haystack. However the subject was popular in the late Victorian era, maybe 1875-1900. I would Google "victorian prints". I bet you can find a reproduction very close to your description. Good luck, Jay
