    If you request emancipation when a charge of non-support of a dependent chil is pending against you will the effect of the emancipation directly effect the charge

    If there is a case of support arrears that will only be affected by capping the amount you owe.

    Correct. If there are arrearages past due they will still have to be paid, even if the support order is terminated.
