I had my first marriage on 1975, then I had my second marriage last year 2000, now I had gone to u.s.a to file a divorce on my first marriage(1975),and then I had my 3rd marriage on 2004,now the guy from my second marriage died last 2007. Now my question is.. I had filed a petition for my son last 2007 and his priority date just came up, I am worried that they will deny him, for the mere fact that I had previous marriages I am concern on how I am able to handle this.. please help me on what matter I should do, I really want to be with my son again, I've been longing for him for 10 long years. Please I need an answer because I can not afford an immigration lawyer. And please tell me what charges I will face soon, can he still come here to america? Your second and third marriages are invalid and not recognised under USA law if you JUST went to the USA for divorce on your first marriage. You can't marry a second much less a third person while still married to your first husband that's still alive. If you lie on any forms that alone is illegal and will invalidate any applications.

And if you have no money... its not happening. Applications cost money... the entire process takes a lot of time and no guarantee they will even approve it.

Even though I had my first marriage, now to get back at it I had gone to u.s.a to file a divorce on my first marriage(1975) and it got granted,after then I had my 3rd marriage on 2004 then I got my immigrant status, after a failed marriage I filed my divorce last 2008 on my 3rd marriage and it got granted as well,now my concern is that the guy from my second marriage died last 2007. Would this be enough proof that I did try to get my second marriage annulled? Now my real question is.. Ok... there are countries that might allow multiple marriages... but the USA doesn't recognise any but the first in those cases. I actually know women in that situation (not being the only wife). And if the divorce to husband #1 occurred before the marriage of husband #2.

If Husband #2 died before Marriage #3 occurred... then that is legal, you don't need annulment or divorce... you were widowed. Death Certificate would prove it.

IF you married any before the death or divorce of the previous husband... then you have possible issues. I'm sure they will check, but anything is possible.

I don't know that legal marriages would prohibit it or cause problems. I know several people that have immigrated and had been married several times, and were able to sponsor family members successfully.

Your question is very confusing... tried to reread a couple of time and I still see "bigamy" in your situation here.

Bigamy is one of the reasons the government can keep you out... if you divorced #1 husband and then married #2, you are OK but if you are still married to #1 but you married # 2 in other country... better get the best immigration attorney.

But my main concern is will my child still be able to go here in america? He currently resides in the philippines.

The point lawanwadee is making YOU have a green card... criminal acts can not only prevent him from coming... you can lose your green card over it... and Bigamy or Polygamy is a crime in the USA.

That's why it is important for exactly when each divorce and death took place. If you were married to TWO people at any point that is bigamy. Three is Polygamy and has been illegal here for well over 100 years.
