I am trying to figure out the name of a 80's movie? From what I can remember... The movie starts with a teenage boy at prep-school & his parents may have died (he's a star footbal player perhaps). Unable to pay for the private school he is sent to a remote location (canada or Alaska perhaps) on a train to live with his uncle or grandfather. The train drops him off in the middle of nowhere.
If I remember correctly the rest of the movie is him surving in the wilderness, making shelters, etc. Maybe a vision quest of some sort and he may be befriended by another boy who helps him..
Please Help?! This movie has eluded me for years, but I remember liking it as a kid
