    Insulation behind tub surround
I am thinking about getting a new Stirling Plumbing bath and surround which attaches directly to the wall studs with no sheet rock backing. However it would be done in a condo where there is nothing between the surround and the neighbors thin drywall. How can I insulate this? There is already too much noise between bathrooms as it is.

Why can't you put a piece of greenboard behind the tub anyway, you would still nail to the studs and it will only add 1/2 to the depth. There is no firewall between units? A lot of builders will put insulation, R-13 or 19 in the cavity space.
