Assalamu Alaikum. My name is Mehreen I'm a medical student.there are three pages against islam on Facebook.we all know about that pages.but no action is taken.my question is that being a common muslim what should I do I need guidelines.because it make me really upset that we know that jewish make fun of our religion and we do nothing.

How about looking at it this way as well, WHY are Jewiish and Christian people persecuted by Muslims in muslim majority nations?

You can't have it both ways... have you EVER considered we non-muslims are offended by the behaviour from Muslims towards us?

What you need to do is understand that Others have their opinions... and your opinion is not the only one, or even the right one all the time.

Sorry, but I was offended by your post indicating others are not entitled to their opinions of your religion. Tollerance is a two way street.

Second, How do you know these pages are posted by Jews?

Third, do you have any idea of the number of websites and pages that are anti-Semitic that are out on the WEB, many of them posted and maintained by muslims. There are a lot more than 3!

My suggestion is to start cleaning your own house before you start criticizing others.

As to the pages you refer to, have you reported them to Facebook? I have no clue what pages you refer to or whether they are as offensive as you claim. But, if they are, its up to Facebook to remove them.

Only three pages? I'm sure there are more than that against any number of other religions. Your's is NOT the only religion to have people speak against it. In fact EVERY religion has people who don't like it, make fun of it, speak against it, and generally say hurtful things against members of that religion.

Consider yourself lucky that it is only 3 pages, and not 30.

There are 1000's of pages against muslims, 1000's against Catholics, 1000's against jews and more.

There is nothing to do, except understand that it happens

Can you answer my question about what you have done to try and get those pages taken down?

I did not hurt.but feel that I done the same which I complained

Keep in mind people have the RIGHT to not agree with or even like Islam. Its teachings are very much against the rights and privledges of the "West". So expect people to not like or agree with it as is their right.

I have Muslim friends... and I very much dislike Islam for a number of reasons. Too many Muslims are taught you are a believer in your religion or you are not worthy of walking the earth. THAT causes far more problems than there should be.

I do not and will not ever bow to Allah... however if you do is of no concern to me. I as well as many others treat people based on how they act towards me and others... not who they worship.

I reported that pages and then left Facebook but then I thaught this is not the rite way.actualy I want to argue with that people and want to clear that muslims are not terrorist and terrorist are not muslims.but for this I have to like that psge to comment on it.this made me upset and need some one guideness.I m new on this post.and thaught that some islamic sholar will help me

You can certainly post dissenting opinions on such pages. But don't be surprised if they are removed or the subject of derision. Bigotry is mindless. Bigots don't see reason, otherwise they wouldn't be bigots.

I am a Christian and have several Muslim friends and have worked with Muslims. All have been good people who are kind and helpful. Perhaps start a page on FB that is supportive of Islam and Muslims. Tell readers what is good about Islam.

I know more about Islam than you think. I do not agree with many of its teachings and that is my right to disagree. Allah is not my God... and Mohammed is not the son of god in the view of my religion which is much older than Islam. And I do not agree with what is taught by too many of your religious leaders, they are the cause of many of the problems. Many of them do not do as the Qurran says. I do have a problem with how People of my faith (Christian) are treated in Muslim majority nations and how they treat women.

I have no personal ill will towards you as a person. Who you are has nothing to do with who you worship. Just so that is clear to you. If I ever dislike someone, it has nothing to to with their faith... it has everything to do with how they act. And that's HOW I can have Muslim friends, or Jewish friends, or Budist friends.. or Aetheist friends.

Well, one thing you learn as you get older. Is that some people are so blinded in their beliefs you can't argue with them. They won't even believe facts when given to them. And in many cases erverything they are taught is wrong. And its all they have ever known so that's what they believe. That's the danger in controlling access to information you see in many Communist and Islamic nations. Look at the Middle east... Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, the Old USSR, Saudi Arabia etc... or even places with low levels of litteracy. Afghanistan, Iraq... parts of Pakistan etc...

I'm a firm believe in acess to information. Any place that wishes to control what you can see, hear or read, usually does so to control what you think.

I know a whole bunch of fundamentalist Christians like that. I'm even related to some of them. My deceased uncle refused to go to any church where women wore slacks.
