My belly button ring had torn through my skin. I was wondering if I could get stitches to mend the two pieces of skin together again. If so, could I use the same piercing?

If not, could I get my belly button pierced again? How long is the waiting period to heal, too?

First, have your doctor check you out. You could use scar reduction cream for a while. I would really wait until it is totally healed (which pretty much depends on your body). Normal healing time for a navel piercing can take a full year sometimes since that is where your body pivots. It is the hardest piercing to deal with, unfortunately and has one of the highest rejection/migration rates. At the very least, I would wait about 6 months before getting the piercing again.
