Hi there I hope that you can answer a couple of basic questions that I have about air conditioners. Are 'through the wall' and window air conditioners basically the same thing?
With a window air conditioner, can air from outside blow through to the room that is being air conditioned?

Yes. There is an option that you can open a damper allowing fresh air into the room with a window a/c.

The through the wall a/c's are basically the same as a window unit. There are some through the wall units that are very expensive. Those are just the same as a window unit only costs more. YOu can mount a regular window a/c unit into a wall though.
