I can't believe it's already been a year since we all lost Starby.

Rest in Peace my dear friend. I miss you so very much.

I never met Starby, but she sounded like a wonderful person. I have read a lot of her posts, and I can only imagine that we would have been friends, and from how highly she is spoken of, I would have been grateful for such a good friend.

You would have adored her. She was so passionate about dogs, about stopping backyard breeders, puppymills, dog rescue. She was a very good person. She'll always be missed, never forgotten.

I really can't believe it's already been a year. It seems like just yesterday her and I were joking on the phone, talking for hours. I miss her voice, her humor.

She does live on. Her posts on this site will be here forever, she now has a beautiful little niece to watch out for from above.

I'm glad she found peace.

Actually, Jo would laugh at us. The last time I talked to her I cried on the phone, because I knew she was dying. Thankfully she didn't have a clue. She kept laughing at me, asking why I was crying, telling me not to worry, that she'd be okay. I couldn't stop though, because I knew the truth.

There is some small comfort in knowing that she lived each minute not knowing that the end was near. At least I got to tell her I lover her one last time, even though I was saying it through tears.

When I cry, it's not pretty. Also, I'm impossible to understand. Just fyi.

Sadly, I remember the screenname but wasn't posting often enough at that time to have really gotten to know her or her circumstances.

Still hard for me that she's gone. I really enjoyed the person who she was!

I know everyone here loved her. I wish I could have known her too.

She was great and strong and funny, I knew her for too short of a time.
Hard to believe it's been a year.

I can still hear her voice.

Funny how a friend can make you feel. I remember so many times that she just made me smile... and worry at the same time.

I too miss her a lot.
