My A/C was working intermittently until I had a new battery put in yesterday, now all it does is blow hot air. BTW, I noticed that the condenser is cold.

That's bad. The condenser should be hot but the evaporator should be cold! Your compressor may not be coming on.
It may be directly related to changing the battery but first check all the fuses and see if any additional vehicle functions don't work now.
Take this to someone who can quickly diagnose what happened. I know I don't want to be without my A/C!
