I love my girlfriend don't get my wrong, but she dresses like a slut and doesn't care. She always wears booty shorts and super low tank tops even though I keep asking her to stop. She doesn't even seem to notice how she always has guys hitting on her and flirting with her. She even went with a guy to his private lake. Just the two of them. Im sure she didn't do anything but still.. It bothers me.

So the question is, how can I get her to change her appearance without completely ruining our relationship.

I would be more concerned with going to a private lake with a guy then the clothes.

I'm sure she likes the way she dresses and as she gets older I'm also sure she will tone it down.

Was she wearing the same clothes when you met her?

What did she say about the guy?

If you trust her you trust her,so there is no need to worry about guys hitting on her.

If she dressed that way before, why did you ask her out to start with?

Girls like to wear clothing their boyfriend purchases for them. Why not take her shopping and buy her some outfits you like to see her in?

She claimed the guy wouldn't do anything and there really wasn't anything I could do about it.

I met her at school which is private with uniforms. But to my knowledge the dressing slutty is new as of two-three months ago.

I try to trust her but its hard because she used to do things when she was single with a lot of guys. She says she just stopped it all when we starting going out but I don't know..

Have you spoken to her about it?

Are you ashamed about how she dresses or jealous?

How can you be so sure that she still doesn't act the way that she dresses?

And the guy at the lake... I wouldn't trust any girl who did that.

She's not ready for anyone to dress her.

Find someone you can trust.

If I were in your shoes , when she left to go to the lake she would have one of those shoe prints on her butt. Figurative speaking.

That shows no respect for you. No consideration for your feelings, and she must think little of your intelligence .

If she cared about you I would think she would want you go or decline the trip if you couldn't.

You have no right to change her at all, and its easier to change g/f's, especially since this one thinks its okay to go go on a friends boat and tell you you can't do anything about it. She is wrong, and you should have dumped her then.

Do so now, and disappear from her life.

What's probably going to happen is that you're constantly going to be wondering where she is, and who she's with. You'll drive yourself crazy with this type of girl. Trust me I know the type. The clothes are just the beginning.

I don't even know her, and I wouldn't trust her with my own brother. And I KNOW that he's honest and trustworthy.

Hmm, doesn't like the way she dresses. Doesn't like the way she flirts with guys. Referred to as a 'slut' as in slutty clothes, won't conform to the male boyfriends' idea of what she should look like, and how she should dress, and how she should behave.

I'd say there are a few control issues going on here, and you are doing what? Looking for help to control your girlfriends choice of clothing, friends, and behaviour?

You sure won't get that from me. You will learn, hopefully, not to judge someone by the way they dress, particularly, but by any measure. If you don't like the way somebody is, you sure have nerve trying to change them to suit you!! Pretty arrogant I'd say.

What's next. Does she wear too much makeup for your liking? Does she say and do things you don't approve of? You don't like her friends? Want to know where she is at all times?

Why not just get yourself a puppy, until you grow up a bit.
