    Depends on the voltage. You can't convert with out knowing that. For example, at 120 volts it would be 120 watts.

    X doesn't work in Excel or my cell phone calculator application. Seems to work well in text books. :D

    He does mean Watts equals volts X Amps, Not Amps equals Volts X Amps.
