I'm going to get dreadlocks next week but I was wondering, will I be able to swimm with the dreadlocks I'll have? Will I be able to put my swimming cap on without damaging them? Is it a good idea? I really want to get dreadlocks though...

Will you be able to swim? Sure. Will you be competitive? Nope. Will your cap damage your dreads? I wouldn't know about that. In fact, I think DREADS damage your hair. But, what do I know?
