I've been colouring my hair for 10 years black would love to go lighter been to a few saloons they won't touch it fearfull of burning it.. want to do it myself but don't no how have long thick course hair .can some one help please

If beauticians have not wanted to touch it (and they're professionals), I wouldn't dare touch it (being the amateur that you are).

Why not stop coloring for a while and let you natural color return and get your hair healthy before you color it again?
