JD LS 102 won't start. Starter, fuel lines, plug and carb all fine. Other options?

I have a John Deere LS 102, 5 years old but serviced by JD every year. The other day I shut it down to dump the bags and it would not start back up. Just got rapid clicking from starter. Pushed it into garage, cleaned out air filter, blew out engine area, checked oil level(good), checked battery (good), bypassed system to check starter by placing cables on my car engine, hooking nuetral to frame and touching starter with positive cable and it started right up. Ilet it run for a while to make sure it was getting fuel and it ran until I manually shut it down (about 15 minutes). Tried to start it back up and nothing but the rapid clicking again. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks for the help!
