If my job sends me overseas regularly, can I assign my parental rights to my new wife
My jobs sends me overseas for months at a time, can I transfer my parental rights to my new wife to keep my ex from causing problems? My ex is currently facing legal charges for forgery, theft, and fraud, not to mention impersonating a care giver, but the court refuses to give me full custody. I also found out today she is in a mental rehab facility.

What is the best way for a father to get custody?
Im currently in a shared custody plan, ex and I both have 50/50 time with our daughter, my ex is facing charges due to her lifestyle, however probably won't do jail time. How can I get full custody to protect my daughter?

What is she facing? It may or may not be good enough to demand a custody chage. What state is this happening in?

We need more info on the situation.

No you can't assign your rights to your new wife. What you can do is grant her guardianship and a poa for when your gone. What excuse did the courts give you for not granting full custody?

Seems like you have a reasonable case for getting full legal custody, why is the courting not allowing it.

There is only ONE way for a parent to gain full custody. That is to petition the court for a modification of the custody order and present proof that the other parent is unfit to continue with custody.

The best way to present your case is to hire an attorney who knows the local courts and will be able to properly prepare a case.

The judge said she made bad decisions but it doesn't make her a bad mother.. go figure?

Tennessee, fraud theft and forgery, impersonating a caregiver(lpn) and I found out today she has lost her job, car, apartment, and is in a mental rehab. And still wants to argue over custody. I'm headed back to court tomorrow. What do you know about emergency custody orders?

Don 't assume that is enough, how is it effecting the child's safety. Is the child feed, does the child have a clean place to sleep and live. Does the mental rehab effect her ability to care for the child.

Hookers and drug users often keep custody of their kids, so don't count winning at this point.
