My lips have been slowly swelling and I am having dry mouth, and at night it gets so dry that my inner lips actually will stick to my inner mouth and teeth. I also have irritation on my outer lips and a film on them as if I have been licking my lips all day everyday. Toothpaste burns my mouth even though its minty and my outer lip burns worse with spices like lemon pepper that would usually be mild. I have peridontlal disease but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

What sort of medication are you taking that you just started taking?

Also, are you getting enough water into your system each day?
