Why does he go soft right before penetration?
My boyfriend of several years and I are attempting to have sex for the first time together. I am a virgin, and he is not (although, he's inexperienced). The problem is, right before penetration, he goes soft! Nothing either one of us does makes him hard again, and this has happened several times now. What's going on?

    Synnen

He's nervous, and Mr. Happy doesn't like nervousness.

Relax, stop worrying about whether it happens or not, and reassure him that it doesn't matter. Keep being intimate--don't stop just because Mr. Happy does--but don't EXPECT it to lead to sex. Just enjoy it.

When your boyfriend is more relaxed about it all, it's more likely to happen.

How old is he, how old are you.

As Synnen says Mr. Happy doesn't like to be nervous, while I never had that problem as a young man that's not to say others don't. Because many do. Pressure is another thing that with send the turtle into hiding as well.

I'm assuming a very young age for both of you. I assume he does get annual physicals and doesn't have any medical issues and isn't on any medications.
