1.6 gallon tank toilet will not drain first time
I bought a 1.6 gallon toilet about 4 years ago. Although it has never drained as well as the new low volume toilets do, the job was still done. For about 4 months, it now needs 2 full flush to do the job right.
    Any ideas? Thanks. Carl

It sounds like you have low water level, lift the toilet tank lid check the water level it should be approximately 1" bellow the over flow rim if not see the images below and tell us which one is your fill valve, Thanks.

We have the left type of valve, the one without the arm and air bag.
The water level does rise up to the edge of the over flow.
This situation only occurs in type 2 but volume is not a factor...
That might be a little too much info?
    Thanks Carl

    Hello Carl,

It seems that have two problems, you a partial blockage and you water level is, for the blockage use a plunger if that will not help use a toilet auger see the images below, for the high water level you have a fluidmaster 400A fill valve, squeeze the water level adjusting clip and move the float down a little bit try is it several times until you have the proper water level and make sure that the refill tube is connected to the overflow tube, Thanks.
